2und2 is a range of garden furniture which builds upon a steel frame base. Four single products are the result of adding adequate functional components to this base:

A trolley table, a grill, a bucket for plants and a firebowl.

The frame is made out of two and two equal parts. Four small parts build the frame for the bucket, four big parts build the frame for the firebowl. The 45°-Angle construction of the steel frame elements ensures stability and serves as a carrier for the functional components.

Its clean and architectual appearance allows 2und2 to integrate well into modern patio or garden spaces.

Four small parts are used to create the frame for the plant bucket. The frame is held together using cylindric spacers.

Two large parts and two small parts give shape to the frame of the grill aswell as the trolley. Each frame comes to life through functional components.

We went through several iterations when designing the basic frame construction. After realizing that we won’t be able to find a solid construction principle just by sketching we moved on to build several 1:1 and 1:5 scale mock-ups. These helped us tremendously in testing out ideas and checking stability.
