PROJECT
OVERVIEW
Gas Monitoring Interface
2010 (5th Semester)
In cooperation with Dräger AG & Co. KGaA
Supervised by Prof. Frank Jacob
3 months
(Elastic Lists by Moritz Stefaner)
This project is aimed towards personell safety during construction, operation, maintenance and dismantling of processing facilities and other high-duty plants. In a cooperative effort with Dräger, leading developer of medical and safety equipment, the goal was to design solutions to enhance work safety for Confined Space Entries. CSE
is a common part of plant maintenance in which workers have to enter tanks, silos, pipes or other confined spaces to carry out repairs and other tasks. Because of toxic or explosive fumes these environments can present a danger to life and oftentimes cause high-stress levels, inducing an extremely difficult procedure for involved personell.
Wireless Vision is a software for realtime visualisation and evaluation of measuring / status data of mobile gas detection devices. By providing relevant location-based data as well as innovative analysis systems, Wireless Vision helps safety engineers to instantly react on events and to continuously improve industrial safety.
